About

Software engineer building toward AI.

I'm a software engineer with 3+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production web applications for government and enterprise clients.

My background is primarily in frontend engineering — React, SvelteKit, TypeScript — working on systems built for real institutions rather than demos or prototypes.

I'm currently pursuing an MSc in Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, extending that foundation into machine learning, data engineering, and intelligent software systems.

Progression

Engineering Journey

Software Engineering (Frontend)

Where it started — writing code, learning how systems fit together, and learning to ship things other people would actually use.

Production Government & Enterprise Systems

Frontend engineering on production platforms for national institutions — education finance, election infrastructure, tax administration.

Applied Data Science & AI

Current

Pursuing an MSc in Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence at SRH University Heidelberg, Germany — extending the same engineering foundation into ML and data systems.

AI Engineering

Direction

Where it's heading — building intelligent systems on top of the same production-engineering discipline, rather than starting over.

Breadth

What I Build

Production Web Applications

Interfaces built to hold up under real use

AI-Powered Software

LLM-backed features, not just chat wrappers

Data-Driven Applications

Software shaped by what the data actually says

Developer Tools

Small tools that remove friction from a workflow

Intelligent Automation

Systems that reduce manual, repeatable work

Robotics

Software that has to deal with the physical world

Current Direction

Where I'm Going

The Foundation

Software engineering — the discipline of shipping reliable systems, working within existing architectures, and building things other engineers can maintain. That doesn't change.

The Direction

AI and machine learning — applied on top of that foundation, not instead of it. I'm not leaving software engineering behind; I'm extending it.

The goal is to build intelligent systems that are reliable, scalable, and useful in real-world environments — not just demos.

How I Think About It

Engineering Philosophy

  • 01Build things that work.
  • 02Understand the problem before choosing the technology.
  • 03Prefer simple systems over unnecessary complexity.
  • 04Write software other engineers can maintain.
  • 05Learn by building.
  • 06Use AI as an engineering tool, not a substitute for engineering judgment.

Beyond the Code

Outside client work, I spend time thinking about physical computing and embedded systems — where software meets hardware — and I've been slowly shaping a longer-term idea around wearable sensing and edge AI. Most of it is still just sketches.
